How You Can Help In order to succeed in passing this amendment to ban the use of inhumane and unnecessary gestation crates for breeding pigs, this campaign will need help from dedicated volunteers like you!!! Special help is needed in gathering endorsements for the initiative, writing supportive letters to the editor, helping with distribution of campaign literature, and helping to raise funds for our educational efforts. Voter education will be one of the most important elements of success for this campaign. Of course, the costs of television ads are extremely high...so your assistance with fund raising is urgently needed. But wait...fundraising doesn't have to be total drudgery. Do you like to party? Then why not host a house party! It's a great way to raise funds and have fun with your friends and neighbors at the same time! Please email us for more information. Also, please consider making a greatly needed donation directly to the YES! on 10 Campaign by calling 964-946-1691. Please copy our email alert...then send it to everyone you know! Here's a suggested subject line: URGENT: Please Forward and Vote YES on Act 1 If you can help gather endorsements in your community, please download and print the following documents: The Petition, Questions & Answers, the Endorsement Letter, the Endorsement Form and the Newsletter Piece. Then visit the page entitled To Endorse for a suggested list of endorsing parties. Finally, please email us for some tips on approaching groups and individuals for their endorsement. Writing a letter to the editor is a wonderful way to share the importance of keeping the use of gestation crates and factory farms out of Florida. If you are interested in writing a letter to the editor of your local or statewide newspaper, please email us for more information. The distribution of campaign literature will play a key role in helping to spread the news about The Florida Animal Cruelty Act. The Questions & Answers form and the Flyer are ideal documents to share with family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, classmates, and other potential voters. For optimal effect, please distribute these documents in person, so that you can briefly discuss the highlights of the initiative (please do not leave them on windshields or doorsteps).
